Kelty is one of the four founding members of The Conservation Alliance - created in 1989 by industry leaders REI, Patagonia, The North Face, and Kelty—who shared the goal of increasing outdoor industry support for conservation efforts.
Since its inception, the Alliance has grown to over 250 members and contributed over $29 million to grassroots conservation groups throughout North America. This funding has helped save more than 73 million acres of wildlands; protect 3,580 miles of rivers; stop or remove 37 dams; designate five marine reserves; and purchase 21 climbing areas.

How you can help? Pack it in, pack it out. For those adventures that don’t involve dumpsters and camp hosts, try out our Trash Pak, a vehicle-mounted accessory capable of hauling a weekend’s worth of waste & recycling. Use it to haul firewood, manage waste around camp and pack it all out when the fun is done.

ALLIED FEATHER + DOWN
Kelty takes pride in the ethical and sustainable sourcing of our down, which is 100% PFC- free and ethically sourced from Allied Feather + Down or other RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified suppliers.
With the help of Allied Feather + Down's "Track My Down" program, we're able to track our down from farm-to-tent, ensuring that every step of the process is transparent and accountable.
BUILT TO LAST
Our designers work hard to design durable gear that lasts. But, over hundreds and hundreds of miles of use, gear may occasionally need repairs. That’s why our in-house team repairs used product and offers replaceable components - to build a second life into our gear and help keep them out of the landfill.
In 2022, our parent company, Exxel Outdoors, repaired over 1,700 products. Behind every product repair is a real person working hard to restore your gear. Jodie and Kathy work together to repair 30+ products a week.
