The waist straps are way to small for us larger guys.... anything over a 36" waist and you can forget using this pack. Do not buy at all if you plan on using the waist straps and are a 36 " waist or larger... just the addition of a knife makes it unusable. Todd on May 24th 2016
Nice pack! Very comfortable for the size, plenty of pockets to store your goods. I've used it for day hikes, XC ski touring and bike commuting. Its even been a nice make shift camera bag, my tripod fits nicely in the side pocket pass thru. Great versatility / utility! Unknown on Apr 4th 2016
I'm a backpack hoarder and this one is my favorite. It's under 3 lbs, even less if you take off waist strap, and aluminum stay. It great for travel. But the 2016 model is higher than in 2015.

How can both have 44 liters? Rodrigus on Apr 3rd 2016
The current design of this pack leaves a lot to be desired. Older version stored walking poles easier. Storage of layer garments on the outside of the pack appears harder to effect that the previous model. The only improvement is that the side pockets appear larger that on the previous model, where they are appreciated but a little small.
At least this pack has side pockets. Too many manufacturers of packs do not include them at all anymore, a problem when trying to access small items quickly without unpacking your pack. One only has to look at military and tactical packs to observe that almost ALL of them have side pockets. There's a reason for that.
Finally, these packs have a good hip belt. Nice and beefy, to make putting the load on your hips comfortable. Please do not "cheap out" on this feature on future versions of the pack. It makes this pack a unique and better model. tree188 on Mar 21st 2016
