I love this tent! Live in South Dakota and took this bad boy out in the Black Hills in February. Of course course my luck a blizzard stuck. Lots of snow, high winds, and bitter cold temps. My Gunnison kept me plenty warm and dry. Easy to set up, easy to take down, and it packed well in my pack. Yes for hundreds of dollars and a pound or two more I could have went with a four seasons tent, but I'm glad I didn't. I did discover a small hole in the floor upon getting the tent, but Kelty sent me a replacement in no time. I couldn't be happier. Ross. on Oct 3rd 2016
Originally bought the Salida 1, but returned it due to lack of fly vents. Would be very hot and would hold condensation without vents. Went with the Gunnison instead. This tent is ounces heavier, but a much better product. The vestibule is large for a one person tent, and the ability to make a roof above door with two trekking poles is great for dressing or cooking in light rain. The pole attachments are unique and well made. Mine came with a footprint included; which alone makes up for the difference in price between the two tents. Also, it has to vents atop the fly that allows for good airflow and dumps heat and moisture. John on May 2nd 2015
